This adapter was recommended by the author of the unusual free application, a Morse Telegraph interface, which uses the signal control lines instead of RD/SD for data transfer. [...] That said I've been using serial RS-232 comms since the mid 1960's for both business and pleasure and now retired I will be using it for other pleasure apps as well.

This works great as long as you are on XP 32-bit. If you are on a 64-bit machine it will BSOD your box when you run at a speed of 19200. No matter what I plug it into, speed 19200 works for about 1 min then I get a BSOD with Multiple_IRP_Request errors.

              Q:

I measured this cable generating signal levels at -7V and +7V. Although the RS232 standard specifies signal levels can be as low as -3V and +3V, the levels generated by this adapter may not work in all applications (e.g. industrial). My PC generates signals at -11V and +11V. Do you offer a USB to DB9 serial adapter that generates signals closer to -15V and +15V than -7V and +7V?
              Thanks!
