Product Description

Ready to work with multiple vendor's equipment, this patch panel is made for exceptional performance with black electrostatic powder-coated steel and 50 micron gold-plated contacts. Every panel comes with 110-type termination, while meeting and exceeding TIA/EIA-568-B Cat6 connecting hardware specifications. The clear numbering on both the front and back of each panel provides a quick, easy way to identify cable runs.

Broken or damaged connectors are no longer a problem; you can quickly and easily replace them with C2G, formerly Cables To Go, keystone jacks. The high density 19-inch panel design lets you mount to any standard 19-inch rack or cabinet, accommodates top, bottom or side cable entry, and also saves valuable space in your rack. It also has a write-on designation label with a clear holder on the front and the rear.

      Comments about 24-Port Cat6 110-Type Patch Panel:

I use these patch panels for all my small business customers. This product is almost perfect. It's made from heavy gauge sheet metal - ~0.074" painted. It has nice port labels in a holder on the front side for easy documentation. Each port also has a cap and wiring scheme label on the cabling side for easy reference during punchdown and therein lies one gripe. The adhesive on these wiring scheme labels dries out after a few years and the labels flake off. My other gripe is that there is no provision for wire ties at each port group to hold the cabling securely to the patch panel.

Is there a recommendation on how to route the cables and which order to punch them down in?

            A:

You would need to follow the 568A or 568B color code on the back of each jack. Normally, the cables would exit straight out of the back of the patch panel.
