The C2G VGA + USB KVM over Cat5 Extender is perfect for situations where the user console must be placed at a distance from the KVM. This allows you to place your computers in a secure location and your console in another, up to 150 meters away. Driving the VGA and USB signals over a Cat5E or Cat6 UTP patch cable lets you utilize your existing UTP cable infrastructure for a cost-effective and reliable installation.

This solution is ideal for industrial applications (such as manufacturing lines, clean rooms, server rooms, training presentations, etc.) where your computers need to be placed in a secure or remote location and you need your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to reach further than the 5 meter length limitation experienced by most KVM switches. No software is required for this plug-and-play solution as it works with your existing VGA + USB KVM switch.

Note: This product is designed to function with USB 2.0 ports on the PC and is not compatible with USB 3.0 ports.

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad product for the price. I noticed that the mouse and keyboard seemed to freeze up almost constantly at first. But after a while it seemed to stabilize a bit and we have had no other problems of late. Amazing price for a KVM extender.

You should be able to move the keyboard and mouse from either side local or remote. They will not work at the same time but there should be no switch to go from local to remote.
