Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product! What a relief. This KVM switch has worked perfectly since I connected it between my laptop and desktop PCs. Switching between one PC and another is smooth and problem-free. What a contrast with the cheap Belkin "Flip" KVM I tried before this one. There was always a delay when switching, and the mouse would halt and "stutter" for several seconds before behaving normally. Sometimes the mouse and keyboard wouldn't work. Then my desktop PC started crashing, making it impossible to boot Windows. As soon as I removed the Belkin KVM, everything was fine. IMHO, you're much better off with this superior product. Nice job, CTG!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from C2G SCORES AGAIN! I WAS NOT SURE ABOUT ADDING MORE CABLES TO AN ALREADY BUSY BACKSIDE BUT CONNECTIONS PROVED SIMPLE AND NO ADDITIONAL CHAOS. NOW I CAN RUN VISIO, PRESONUS STUDIO ONE AND QUICKBOOKS SIMULTANEOUSLY WITHOUT CONFLICT OR LOSS OF PROCESSING POWER. HIGH FIVE TO THE GUYS WHO CREATED THIS OPTION!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use with Projector in Classroom We have a classroom where we have a In-focus projector connected to the installed PC. However we often have guest speakers that come with their own laptops. Previously they would disconnect the desktop cable to connect to their laptop. Now with the Trulink™ 2-Port VGA and USB Micro KVM with Audio switch we can have a cable on the desktop for the laptop and we no longer have to mess with the connections to the PC that never got reconnected. Thanks for this inexpensive tool during this tight budget season.

When you switch, do you hear the USB unplug/plug sounds (hub-based) or does the switch constantly emulate a generic keyboard and mouse so the computers aren't aware of any switching (emulated)?

Asked by: asanarama
You hear the USB plug on the first connection. After that initial connection, you would not hear the USB plug/unplug sounds.

How do you switch back to the scroll lock key? The keyboard & mouse stopped working on one computer, and I can't figure out why -- I switched the 'switch key' to be CTRL twice, and want to try resetting it. Thanks

Asked by: Julian
You would hit [Num Lock] + [-] then push [t]. This should change the hotkeys back to Scroll Lock, scroll lock.

The default switch hotkey is double tapping scroll lock, however, is there any way to reprogram the hotkey? Certain keyboards no longer have a scroll lock key.

Asked by: Jonathan
You can change the hotkey sequence to tapping the CTRL key twice. You would do this by pressing Num Lock + (-), then hit letter (t).
