Check Your Video Card First!
I bought this to extend my MacBook Pro's desktop to my two monitors like I have at work on my Dell machine. Well, I should have checked first because you apparently need a special video card to be able to do that. So this cord is basically useless for me. But when I did have it hooked up, it did extend my desktop, but the resolution was not very high.

Doesn’t support two monitors!
While each vga cable separately works with one monitor, if you hook up to two monitors at the same time, only one monitor works. I assume it simply doesn’t deliver enough power for both. This was in a Lenovo desktop computer, so I’m not sure how it works on others, but it proved to be money completely wasted for me.

Can this cable be used for extended display?
It cannot be used for extended displays. It will only provide a mirror image on both screens.

The PC Tower is 4' from one monitor and the second monitor (projector) is 30-50' away. Will this splitter work for duplicating the screens?
Unfortunately this adapter is not the best recommendation for longer length applications. We would always recommend our powered splitters such as 29550.
