Conquer USB length limitations, and put your USB devices where you want them with our USB superbooster. This pocket-sized device extends the distance of a USB device to a host computer up to 150 feet so you can place your USB camera, printer, web cam, keyboard/mouse extension, or any other USB device exactly where you want it! This booster is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required so it's compatible with any computer that supports USB.

This plug-and-play device consists of a base unit and a remote unit connected together by a standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 network cable (not included). Simply connect your cables to your device; then connect to your computer and USB peripheral and you're up and running. Bus-powered, it requires no external power source. Instead, the superbooster has internal DC power conditioning circuits to maintain the proper voltage to the remote device so no external power is required for either the base or remote units. Compliant with USB Specification 1.1.

Please Note: The power demands of devices such as external drives and USB hubs may require the use of external power for proper operation. Please consult with your device manual or manufacturer for details. During installation, do not connect the transmitter to the PC until all other connections in the system have been made. The other connections in this system would include the Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter and receiver, a USB hub placed at the receiver or any other USB device that would be connected to the receiver. Connecting the transmitter to the computer without first making other connections may result in damage to the Superbooster.

Note: If the USB signal is being extended to support an interactive whiteboard, then we recommend using our product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USB 1.1 Superbooster Extender, too slow Used to connect a web cam mounted on the top of a wall mounted 60" LCD monitor used for video conferencing. The web cam is connected to the Conf Room computer, accross the conference room, via a CAT5 cable in wall. The video quality was poor due to the slow speed of this device, USB version 1.1. A similar USB via CAT5 extender (USB 2.0) was swapped with this one and the video quality improved dramatically.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the way out to the alley! Tired of cleaning graffiti off my garage, my son set up a camera in the window to try to catch whoever is spraying their initials in giant two-foot letters. Cables to Go had just the right extender to enable a connection from my computer out to the garage by the alley. Even if we don't get them on video, maybe seeing the camera in the window will deter future taggers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Taking high resolution photographs of residential landscapes and swimming pools from a height of 40' could not be accomplished without this USB Superbooster. It quickly sends Live View images from my mounted camera to a laptop over a length of 75' CAT5e cable without any issues.
