I would and probably will buy these cables again
We use these to connect diagnostic equipment to our Pc's in a repair facility. They get damage quite often (mis-use), will purchase again.

I have a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS digital camera. The camera documentation simply specifies it needs a USB-b Mini plug, but it does not specify whether that plug needs to support four or five wires. C2G sells both a four- and five-wire version of this cable. Will either version of this cable work with this particular camera or do I specifically need one or the other? Just as an aside, what is the functional difference between using four- or five-wire USB-b Mini cables? Is one for high-speed operations and the other for more routine applications or ?... We are unable to find specific information from Canon or other sites regarding the number of pins on the USB Mini B connector. I would recommend purchasing from Canon in case they have a proprietary pin out assigned to the cable.

It will not work with that camera. That Samsung model uses a USB port that is proprietary. You would need to contact Samsung for a replacement.
