Discontinued - RJ45 to DB9 Female Serial RS232 Modular Adapter - Red
#02944

Bazaarvoice SAP Hybris Integration Version 2.8.1
Using modular adapters with inexpensive silver satin or flat oval twisted pair wire has become a standard way to run client server applications. Needing to connect dumb terminals on the desktop back to a central patch panel or directly to a MUX via RS-232, many network planners have implemented modular adapters as the most cost-effective way to complete the connections.
Whether used in a wiring closet or throughout the office, color-coded modular adapters lend easy identification and differentiation to your cable plan. By color-coding your connections, you reduce troubleshooting time while taking full advantage of the benefits of this modular adapter approach.
Please Note: Picture shows this adapter before assembly; this modular adapter will need to be assembled so that it is functional. There is not a universal way to assemble them, so please contact us for details. We'll be happy to assemble any adapter (for a nominal labor charge) to fit your application so that they are ready to use upon arrival.

Questions & Answers
i put the wrong female in the wrong hole is there a way to back them out.
I ended up using a security torx bit with the hole in the middle positioned on a pin. Took quite a bit of force and I guess it could break the connector, but worked fine for me for a couple pins.

I want to use this product. Is there a difference with the CAT5 RJ45 plug male end, should that be wired as a stright through. the information i was give for the DB9F to RJ45 is that it follows USOC wiring.
The reason this part is sold unterminated is that many customers need to pin the adapter in different ways. Having this unterminated allows the customer to pin the adapter in the way that they need for their application. Please refer to your equipment requirements as to how to pin the adapter for your application. Please note that the RJ45 end is terminated for T568B.

Do you have the proper pin out for this connector. I am trying to use it for the serial port on the back of computer.
We do have the color code of that adapter which you can find under the Spec tab. The pinout required would depend on the serial device that you are connecting. We would recommend contacting the serial device manufacturer for the proper pinout.
