Use with a Multi-Format Runner for projectors and any display requiring a VGA, 3.5mm audio and HDMI audio/video connection
• Supports VGA video and Stereo Audio signals over a RapidRun Multi-format runner • Flexible HDMI pigtail for easy installation in a wall box • Compatible with standard single gang wall boxes • Aluminum construction for durability and long life
RapidRun is designed to be the standard for in-wall audio/video installations. Using pre-terminated Break-away flying leads and wall plates with an in-wall runner ensures flexible, efficient, high quality connections for all types of equipment, with no field terminations.
Ideal for educational and institutional installations, this wall plate allows VGA video, 3.5mm stereo audio to be run over one runner cable, while the HDMI pass through allows for a seamless transition to an in-wall HDMI cable. This wall plate is constructed from aluminum for durability and a long life.
Please note: Each complete RapidRun Multi-Format solution requires a break-away flying lead or wall plate to terminate each end of the runner cable. Each runner requires (2) break-away flying leads, (2) wall plates, OR (1) break-away flying lead and (1) wall plate. Due to constraints of available conductors for signal transmission, EDID signals are not supported with this product.

What is the difference between a rapid run VGA/HDMI solution versus a pass through wall plate? Can I install 2 RapidRun VGA wall plates where one acts as the source and the other as the destination plate? I'm concerned with cable length. Are we able to use a passthrough plate and run VGA and HDMI for 25 feet or would we need a signal repeater?

Rapidrun is a proprietary modular cable solution. This allows you to run cables through conduit and through spaces that a connector such as a VGA would not normally fit. RapidRun helps eliminate doing field termination. Yes you can use two RapIdRun wall plates for a source and display. Using a passthrough for VGA at that length will give you so loss in signal not much. Doing a HDMI pass through for that length of cable will eliminate HIGH SPEED compatibility depending on your installation this may or may not matter to you.
