Forward infrared signals to operate electronic components behind closed doors
• Allows for control of devices behind closed doors
• Includes emitters to control up to four devices
• LED light confirms IR communication
Product Description
Does your entertainment system have wooden doors, or would you like to mount your components in a closet? Without a clear line of sight infrared (IR) signals from a remote control will not reach the equipment. We have the answer. Our remote control repeater kit contains all equipment necessary to remotely operate 4 components (expandable to 12 components) using your standard remotes. Mount the IR receiver in a central location and connect to the IR distribution block. This block repeats the signals through emitters to your electronic components. Your components may now be mounted in your entertainment center, closet or another room! The kit is self-contained and easy to connect.

With this kit, you may mount a receiver in a convenient place on or near your entertainment system. The receiver has a 9 foot cable that is then attached to the repeater system that is mounted in your entertainment cabinet. The kit includes 4 emitters. These emitters are connected from the repeater system and placed over the IR receiver of the equipment.

The IR receiver and IR repeater have blinking blue LEDs to confirm receipt of the IR signal; the IR repeater is designed for mounting on shelf or wall. You can use your existing remotes for simple installation and hookups. Packaged for resale.

For your convenience, the AC/DC Adapter (#98025) is available for this item. To order this replacement part, please call us at 1-800-506-9607.

Please Note: Careful consideration must be used when placing the IR receiver near a plasma display. Since a plasma display emits IR frequencies during use, it may cause interference. At this time, the ATT U-Verse cable boxes are not compatible with the C2G, formerly Cables To Go, IR Receiver Kit. The product team at C2G is working hard to find a solution for this issue and will update you as soon as possible. Replacement components may be ordered online: 10ft Infrared Receiver with 3.5mm Plug (#98045), 10ft Single Infrared Emitter Cable (#40432) and 10ft Dual Infrared Emitter Cable (#40433).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill from Impressed that it worked When I had gotten the product I was excited about using this IR extender. I was disappointed that I had to modify the IR Receiver Cable in order to extend the cable at a distance of approximately 90', which I was hoping for pheniox connector. But because I'm very fimilar with controls and solder technics I had no problems. Although, I'm not all that fimilar with IR Extenders, I was rather disappointed at the manual and how it had a lack of informtion. This product works great for short distances to a simple plug n play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dale from intermittent operation of the repeater I bought this to control 8 identical IR devices in a "new configuration" setup. (I have 2000 of these devices to load software onto) When I setup the devices and positioned the IR emitters on the devices, I only got a few correct commands sent to the 8 devices. I "thought " the problem was not enough signal to the IR emitters on the devices. It turned out that the controlling handheld IR Remote was sending TOO MUCH signal to the IR Receiver, distorting the output signal through the repeater. I found some colored cellophane (flood light gel filters, if you are familiar with those), and was able to use a dark "neutral density" filter BLOCKING 90% of the light, and a red filter blocking everything below 700nm. I taped those over the RECEIVER pickup, and "VIOLA", the 8 devices responded perfectly. So if you get intermittent control, try adding just a few pieces of satin scotch tape to the RECEIVER sensor to see if the control gets better. I was up to 5 pieces of tape with marginal improvement before I tried the colored and ND filters, and then had a repeatable solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris from Easy installation works great - however I have a new Onkyo receiver and Panasonic Blu-ray Disc player inside a closet behind our LED TV. I purchased the Impact remote control repeater kit. I ran a 3.5mm male to male connecter and ran it from the jack directly to the IR input in the back of the Onkyo receiver - works great. I then connected one of the Infrared Emitters to the 2nd jack and stuck the red emitter end directly over the IR receiver window on the Blu-ray player(this model has a drop down front which may have complicated things). The Blu-ray didn't work. I then removed the emitter and stuck it to the wall directly across from the Blu-ray (about 2 feet away) and works perfectly. All in all great buy. I was surprised that you could directly wire this into the back of a receiver. I tried to direct wire the Comcast cable box with no luck

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve from Does what it is supposed to. When planning for finishing my basement, I went for a minimal look for my theater room - I did not want any components other than the projector in the room. I built a narrow hallway on the other side of the front (screen) wall with shelves that hold my components. I bought this to control theater room components (receiver and BluRay player) that are not in the viewing room. I am using this base unit in conjunction with TruLink® Infrared Wall Plate Receiver. This item works perfectly as installed for its intended purpose. Be sure and read the about the operation/installation before you order - don't just order assuming it will work for your application. There is a small IR receiver that your existing remotes shoot their signal to. This IR receiver is connected to the base unit by a long thin cable. The TruLink wall plate (additional purchase) can take the place of the included IR receiver for a more finished look but the back of the wall plate component must be wired to the receiver using an Ethernet or phone cable. The base unit is meant to be in the same room/cabinet as your components. Coming from the base unit are 4 IR emitters (for 4 components) that work best if attached directly in front of the IR receiver on your components. The emiters come with a double-backed adhesive. Alternatively, if your component allows, the attachment can be done by male-to-male 3.5mm cable. Like I said - works perfectly in the situation that it is meant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mindo from DOES NOT WORK I have a TV in my room and got this to install the cable box and DVD in the closet behind the TV. So far I have position the receiver in every possible position and the darn thing works intermittently. Tried also removing the glue from the sensor on the cable box, and still no luck. So, called tech support and they only work the hours that I am at work.... great help that is...... No way would I recommend this at this time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ARiggs from Works great! I haven't tried others, but it doesn't look like I need to. This thing is great. It has four hookups and I used them all. Picks up the IR signal from my remote and transmits instantly to the four receivers hidden in a closed cabinet. The devices receiver has a light that blinks when it receives the signal so you know it is working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ken B from Works Great When we mounted the TV on the Stair wall there was no place for the cable box/DVR. This device allowed us to put the box around the corner in another room. And yes, it works fine with Optimum's Scientific Atlanta 8300HD box. We just made sure the IR emitter was right over the IR receiver on the box. Absolutely worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hugh from Well made product, worked as expected We used this to send the IR control to a video projector mounted high out of reach in a church video projection system. We hardwired the IR sensor to the stage over 250 feet of shielded twisted pair cable and it works perfect. Also tired to remote the IR computer keyboard, but that did not work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Justin from Does not work with.... Unfortunately this kit does not work with my Scientific Atlanta (Cisco) CIS330 cable box. Just a heads up for anyone who is looking to use this with the same cable box. It does work with my other devices seemingly well, but I only needed it for the cable box, so its of no use to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Livewire from Decent Product Does not work 100% of the time with my plasma. Blue LED emits a low blink almost all the time, and glows bright when a button is pressed. Sometimes the signal repeats as if the button was held. If the receiver can be positioned just right, its worth the money

Rated 4 out of 5 by joe sprinkler from works fine Use of the repeater kit along with the in-wall infra red receiver has kept a wireless view of my television on the wall, and kept all my components in the hallway closet 35 feet away.

I have two of item #40430 and each will sometimes have the Blue light flicker. Not brightly but somewhat dim. One of the units now is blinking brightly all the time and I have trouble getting the cable box to respond. Do you have advice ?
Asked by: Marty
Mystery SOLVED ! C2G send me a new receiver and I installed it with same issue as before. One day I noticed that whenever I picked up my cellphone the blue light went totally OFF. Apparently the phone puts out a IR to sense when a hand is near to activate the Clock. If I just turn the phone face down problem solved. WOW !!

Will ths unit work as a stand alone remote ir receiver for the Rotel RSP 1068?
Asked by: Rick
We would not recommend it to be used directly with that device. It should be used with the 40430 IR repeater kit.

I have a Marantz receiver that receives at 38.6kHz that I am unable to get to operate with the Model 40430 repeater I ordered. Is there a way to make these units compatible?
Asked by: Jerry
Unfortunately, our product has a compatibility problem with the Marantz receivers. We do not have a solution or work around for this issue at this time. You can try connecting it to the IR port on the Marantz with a 3.5mm cable from the Emitter port to the receiver.

I have purchased two of these, along with the 40478 IIR wall plate extension. They work fabulously. That said, for direct IR port on device to the repeater kit (when not using emitters), I notice that some cables work and some don't. Is there a cable specification for direct IR port connection?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately there is not a specifcation for this port. It is best to use a Mono 3.5mm cable. There are some devices that will not work properly when directly connected because these devices are looking for a proprietary receiver.

This item is not compatible with AT&T Uverse. You would need product 40696 that is our IR repeater that is compatible.
