Product Description

Optical digital cables use light to transfer the signal; thus completely eliminating any chance for RFI, EMI or ground loop interference. Connect the Velocity TOSLINK cable to your DVD player, CD player, satellite receiver, game console or other digital audio equipment for clear, fully detailed sound. Manufactured from high quality PMMA optical fiber with a polished lens and gold-plated collet, the Velocity cable provides an accurate digital signal. The low loss PMMA Poly (methyl methacrylate) core ensures low distortion. The non-slip rubber grip connector enables easy installation while the stylish PVC jacket adds flexibility and durability for years of listening pleasure. Protective plastic cover protects lens from dust, dirt, and other material.

It worked great but my sound system is a bit complex and so could not get sound to feed back from my 52" Sharp HDTV to my DENON AVR2802 surround sound receiver. Both the Apple TV and the DENON had optical jacks but the two devices were over 12 feet apart and so I needed a longer cable. Most vendors only offered 6 foot cables, obviously not enough! Received your 5 meter cable plugged it in and instantly had great sound through my surround system! Thanks.

i have a optilink -a cable do i connect it to my sattelite box and then to my flat screen tv

Yes Toslink is a universal connection, There are different types of these connections but manufacturers have to use these connections.
