Product Description
This PC to TV Video Converter allows you to convert the VGA video signal from your computer to a Composite Video or S-Video signal which allows you to connect your PC, Mac or other VGA device to your TV or projector. This is useful when connecting your computer to an older TV or projector for large screen viewing. The converter kit includes a USB power adapter so it can draw power from your computer instead of requiring a dedicated outlet. The menu options allow for customization of display adjustment settings ensuring optimal presentation of the computer content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Da Passer from Does the trick! This was the exact item I had been looking for over a very long time. A short online "Chat" with the tech guy and I was rockin'. Only problem I encountered was once I received the cable, I discovered the projector I had was very short on display quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Doc from good device to do the work i was doing the pix quality was good for the type of presentation i was doing. not for doing high quality work but for the price you can't beat it for normal use. using the s-video out put helps in the pix quality. using the video output resulted in poor quality and not being to read any text when enlarged.

Is the vga-output also scaled, or is it just a pass through? The reason i am asking is because i have an older projector that requires a 480i signal through a vga connector...
Asked by: Bonderoev
The VGA output port would be a pass through.

What is the difference from a mini 8 pin VGA to a regular VGA. Need a piece that converts a DVR signal VGA to composite.
Asked by: Rebecca
The 8 pin VGA on this part is a special cable (included) that is standard vga on the other end. That end connects to your PC/DVR and the 8 pin connects to our device. You can then out put Composite video.

Can you tell me what the difference between this item and PN# 40698 is? We use the 40698 often however have dislike that whenever power is lost to the 40698, it needs to be manually turned back on.
Asked by: JM Here
Both devices perform the same action and need to be powered. 40698 is a model of ours that is being Discontinued andh teh 29548 will remain as the replacement device.

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop w/female VGA output, Emerson tv w/sv or av input. Will this product work? If not, what will?
Asked by: Anonymous
This will allow you to connect a VGA output on a laptop to a composite video or S-video input on the Emerson TV. You would need a separate cable like 40423

will this device connect my kindle fire to a tube style magnavox television with an s-video port on it?
Asked by: Anonymous
This device would not work for your application. You would need a device to convert mini USB to S-Video. We do not have this configuration available.
