Foil double-shielding with the braid shield reduce interference while the twisted-pair construction minimizes crosstalk for high speed, error-free data transfer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I'm very pleased I looked every where for a RJ11 Modem cord and no one had anything longer than 10 feet. You guys saved me and the connections are tight and the cord is very durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Shielding Improves Error Rates The original AT&T U-verse modem cable was only 12 feet long and I needed something a bit longer. I purchased the 25 ft version of this cable. The first thing I noticed after installing the new cable is my modem errors went way down and my SN rates went way up, which equates to much more reliable Internet service. The cable is well constructed and the shielding is a plus.

what is the spec of the cable, cat5 or cat5e?

This does not have a Cat5 or Cat5e rating. This cable has a RJ11 connector whereas a Cat5e cable has a RJ45 connector. This cable would connect a DSL modem to a phone line.
