Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me Can't tell from the pictures, but the holes go completely through the mounting "ears". This was important for my application and made all the difference to me. I bought another brand and the "ears" were designed to hold a nut. I use this to mount to a panel where a nut cannot be inside the "ears". Will buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product... I wish there was a better explanation of how the 6 inches was measured. It is not the length of just the cable, it includes the heads of the male and female USB ends. If I had known this, I would've gotten the 12 inch version. But still good product.

This cable was perfect, plugged it into my radio and mounted the other end in my glove box , looks like a factory install

Sure the listing did read "6in" however the photo was showing a cable that was a lot longer than 6". I see what is obviously a long cable, a 6 is in the picture, must be 6 foot.

Can this also support USB 3.0 data transfer rates? I'd like to use it to connect two USB 3.0 devices...

This device is only compatible with 2.0 USB Speeds. Your devices will communicate throught the cable but only at 2.0 USB speeds.

Are the USB Female connector mounting ears designed to be mounted on the face of a panel or to the back of a panel? What panel thickness is allowed?

The mounting ears are designed to be mounted either on the face or rear of a panel. The cable includes a pair of #4-40 screws that are 13.66mm long (.53 inches).
