Rated 1 out of 5 by from product not as shown Purchased 100 of these and upon receipt found out that these have incerts that are not shown or talked about in description. Can't be used without putting each wire through cable incert and pushed into place. The product won't crimp the metal shield, ground into place because metal shield does not go far enough inside connector. If I take the outer pastic shielding off so it can make contact for the ground then connector is weak and shield pulls out anyway because back opening is so large. So it looks like I need to push in the entire cable and leave enough metal to go back out and be soldered into place. Then the connector will be grounded after I burn up a couple of these RJ45 because they don't seem to make good contact after pushing the incert into place. Horrible construction, they need to be built exactly like a regular RJ-45 or it needs to be stated in discription that they won't work

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Instructions would be nice Glad I only bought a 10pk of these. Hard to estimate the lengths right and placement of insert correct. No guidelines at all. Plug distorted slightly once shield AND ground wire were crimped inside.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from C2G-RJ45 Shielded I bought a 10 pk of the RJ45 shielded connectors and out of the 10 I had 4 fail due to not being able to hold after being crimped. Never had any problem over the years with the plastic RJ45 connectors.

hello! i'm looking for rj45 plugs with a load bar that doesn't have a pin out. at my last job i used these plugs with an insert that was a flat thin black insert that ALL of the wires slid into, not the kind that you have to slide the wires into individually. are these like the ones where all of the wires (at once) can be slid into, or are they individual pin outs (8 holes for each cat5 wire)? if these are the individual ones, do you have any that aren't that have a load bar? the load bar that takes in all of the wires at once? Thanks!
Asked by: carly
These connectors do have a load bar. You would insert the wires into the load bar and then slide the load bar into the connector.

Are these clamp-on plugs for network cables?

Asked by: Anonymous
These are for Shielded Network cables. You would use a crimping tool to terminate the cable into this connector.
