Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality Data Cables This is the same high quality cable as the 10 ft cable I just rated. The only difference is the length (10 ft vs 6 ft). It is manufactured using high quality materials and the cable has a nice solid well constructed feel to it. It exceeds performance expectations. I purchased a 10 ft Cat 6a cable connected to my input Fiber Optics cable switch to my new Linksys router and the 6 ft Cat 6a cable was the feed from my Linksys router to my computer. My router is excellent in all funtions and performance, but it is only as good as the cables that makes the connections between the various components. I have purchased cables from C2G over several years and I have ease of mind knowing I will be receiving quality cable's. C2G is my Go To Vendor for high quality data cables. They have a plethora of various cables to meet any cabling requirements. Bottom line: I am a happy and satisfied customer!

Are these cables certified to any of the IEEE standards of IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, or IEEE 802.3bt?

Asked by: Chris
After some research to verify what certifications the cables have I have found out the following. While we know that our cables will pass PoE along the cables, they do not currently have PoE certifications. That is something that we are in the process of doing though, of getting them PoE certified.

is the AWG important when I run 400 feet of ethernet cat6 cables ( from modem to router going thru outdoor setting???

Asked by: Willie
Yes, AWG is important, but not as important as type of cabling, shielding, and use. Max length of a Category cable run is 230ft. Solid cable carries longer distance with less loss, and the larger the AWG, the better the signal carry, and shielded carries farther without interference. For outdoor use, you would want to use specific outdoor cabling.
