This Cat5e shielded network patch cable is an ideal solution for making a network connecting in a noisy, EMI/RFI, environment. The F/UTP shielding features an overall cable shield which provides protection from EMI/RFI noise and electromagnetic interference. This cable meets or exceeds industry standards for NEXT and return loss. The molded boot provides extra strain relief and durability. Available in a variety of colors to easily color-code your network installation.

Shielded Cat5E RJ-45 patch cable works
Since I have both cable modem and DSL broadband service, I needed a short 3 foot shielded Ethernet RJ-45 cable to hook into a manual RJ-45 AB switchbox which sits on top of my tower PC case. This short shielded Ethernet cable works great.

Shielded Cat5E Cable Works
I used the two short shielded (3 foot) Cat5E cables to connect between a hardware firewall box and two manual A-B switch boxes so I can use one broadband DSL connection for both a computer in the living room and a computer in the bedroom enabling me to switch between the two computers. The cables and setup works great without any problems whatsoever.

Cable does the job.
This shielded CAT-5e cable has been working like a champ. The only issue I have is that it doesn't clip in securely. When I first plugged it in and let go, the cable slid out. I bent the clips back a bit and it seems to work.
