I have a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS digital camera. The camera documentation simply specifies it needs a USB-b Mini plug, but it does not specify whether that plug needs to support four or five wires. C2G sells both a four- and five-wire version of this cable. Will either version of this cable work with this particular camera or do I specifically need one or the other? Just as an aside, what is the functional difference between using four- or five-wire USB-b Mini cables? Is one for high-speed operations and the other for more routine applications or ?... I appreciate your help with my newbie question. Dick
Asked by: Dick (a.k.a. Richard)
We are unable to find specific information from Canon or other sites regarding the number of pins on the USB Mini B connector. I would recommend purchasing from Canon in case they have a proprietary pin out assigned to the cable.
