Rated 1 out of 5 by LenN from 12" 1 device SATA cable is a DOG One has already failed. HDD stopped being seen and the cable was the culprit. Another has given me device controller errors in the Event Viewer which, per Microsoft, is probably indicative of a loose or failing cable. I checked the cable and it was not loose. I'm waiting for it to fail and send both back to Cables-to-go. I bought 2 other longer ones and haven't used them yet.

The cable that I was using stopped working. I used a USB cable but I knew that using this serial cable was better and faster. For me top quality and reliability is a must and this cable satisfied that.

iS THE 6-INCH LENGTH FROM MATING FACES OF THE CONNECTORS OR THE WIRE ENTRY SIDE OF THE CONNECTORS?

The 6in length is from the tip of the connector to the other end of the connector.
