Don't waste your time on this item.
We attempted to set this up for use with a thermal label printer and had no luck at all. We followed all directions and never got it to work. We're going back to standard printer cable and a switch box.

Questions & Answers
Can you tell me is there a USB version of this cable that I can connect my HP 4L printer to my laptop? Also I have Windows 7 on my laptop, will it work with that? If not do I need to install drivers etc for it all to work perfectly? Thank you
We have part number 16898 that is a Centronics 36 to USB adapter. You will need the driver of that printer model on the computer. The adapter uses a built in driver for Windows 7 so there is nothing to install for our adapter.
