Worked the first time I used the device.
It worked the first time I used the device. Simply installed the software provided and plugged in the adapter. It allows the use of any peripheral device that utilize a DB9 Serial connection.

Used for production test
We tried running a production test with the cable and ended up putting a comms card in the PC instead. This cable made the test take about 20 minutes. With a card, the test takes 5 minutes.

Saved the day!
Newer laptops and pc's DO NOT have a db9 serial connection. Making console connections to routers or switches with those type of laptops/pc's is impossible. this connector saved the day.

BSOD 64-bit driver
BSOD caused boot sector corruption. 64-bit driver is horrible and should not have been released. There are too many examples come to find out of issues with 64-bit driver.

could have been better
The cable is compatible with windows 7 as stated. But the length seems to be too small. It could have been made longer for the same price.
