Comments about 35ft Select VGA Video Extension Cable M/F - In-Wall CMG-Rated:
I am using this for an overhead projector in our conference room.
Comments about 6ft Select VGA Video Extension Cable M/F - In-Wall CMG-Rated:
I called in before ordering to clarify how the male and female ends attached to each other. (In the past when I connected VGA M/F cables to each other it required barrel nuts. Then when I tightened up the thumbscrews they hit each other before the connectors were fully seated.)
The Tech (?) told me that on these you removed the thumbscrews on the Male end and then the thumbscrews on the Female end screwed into the Male connector and the connectors fully seat together.
He was wrong.
These are just like the others that I just described. So, I removed the thumbscrews from both Male and Female ends, cut them shorter and used the barrel nuts and now they seat fully to each other and work OK. But, I shouldn't have to do this extra work - especially on Male/Female cables whose purpose is to mate to other cables!
Comments about 1ft Select VGA Video Extension Cable M/F - In-Wall CMG-Rated:
Before I purchased this, I called and asked if the ends would connect fully with other vga cable ends. The tech (?) said "yes, just remove the thumbscrews from the female end and the thumbscrews of the male end will then screw into the female end and tighten up fully."
He was wrong. Just like all the others, you must install barrel nuts on the thumbscrews. And, because the thumbscrews are too long, you must cut them off to get the two ends to fully seat. I wanted to avoid this extra work.
