Overview
Use this XLR to XLR cable to connect unbalanced sources to balanced XLR inputs. This pro-audio cable is made from 22 AWG twisted pair audio cable under an aluminum foil shield and 60% copper braid for maximum shielding from noise. The highly flexible 7mm PVC jacket reduces the risk of the cable kinking and damaging the conductors.
Bright nickel plating on solid brass connectors resists wear from reconfiguring and moving equipment from one venue to another. Spring strain relief on the 1/4in plug and a chuck strain relief inside the XLR reduce the effects of age on the solder joints and contacts.
Connector 1: (1) XLR 3-pin Male
Connector 2: (1) XLR 3-pin Female

My replacement preamp (Gemini PA-1000) is about 20db down from the output of my DH110 on the unbalanced RCA outputs. It produced the same slight hiss that the DH110 had always produced with my Van Alstine DH200B. I had always assumed this to be normal for the 100 watt RMS/channel amp. Even with the slight hiss, the amp/preamp combo was precise enough that other people bought Van Alstine equipment after listening to mine.
Over the years, the Hafler preamp deteriorated. Modifications I had done to the outputs (gold RCA jacks) made the boards unusable for conversion to VanAlstine circuits when the DH110 preamp finally failed. Due to monetary constraints, I replaced it with the Gemini.
I replaced the amps input jacks with XLR Female panel-Mount Connectors from Cables To Go, and used the balanced outputs from the Gemini with the 6-foot Pro-Audio XLR cables. The balanced outputs are about 14db up from the unbalanced, but that's not as important as the cables!
Clinical precision! NO hiss at any volume level. The signal to noise ratio must be nearly infinite. I've had this amp since 1985 and now it's impressing my grand children; and I'm having a blast going back through my music collection.

Comments about 50ft Pro-Audio XLR Male to XLR Female Cable:
I replaced cables that did not stay connected to my mixing board, producing static or loss of connection. The new cables snap securely into the socket and the sound quality is much better than before.

Comments about 25ft Pro-Audio XLR Male to XLR Female Cable:
Considering how much money can be saved here, I'm surprised the audio/video world doesn't beat a soon to be well worn pathway to your door. My experience with all of the products ordered is total satisfaction. I plugged in the male to female balanced interconnects and they worked perfectly. What more needs to be said regarding performance? [...]. Well done.
