With this splitter cable, you can easily share video for presentations, store and tradeshow displays, and more. It splits the signal to provide simultaneous display of the same picture. Makes connecting two monitors a snap! Ideal for splitting the signal at short distances. Maximum resolution is VGA (640 x 480 pixels).

I bought this to extend my MacBook Pro's desktop to my two monitors like I have at work on my Dell machine. Well, I should have checked first because you apparently need a special video card to be able to do that. So this cord is basically useless for me. But when I did have it hooked up, it did extend my desktop, but the resolution was not very high.
