I want to use this on a device to wirelessly connect said device to my mac book pro. will a 2009 macbook be able to see this card and connect to it without a dedicated reciever?

Asked by: prastaples
No. That adapter is strictly to be used with our wireless VGA or HDMI receivers. It will not function as a USB to wireless ethernet adapter.

I need to find a wireless VGA kit that will not use the computers internet/wireless connection. I need to be able to use the wireless internet of the computer, and project the display through a wireless connection. Is the TrueLink wireless usb to vga kit what I'm looking for. I've been through a lot of kits that will advertise as wireless vga without giving the specification of having to use the computers wireless or if the kit is it's own wireless system.

This product would use the UWB (ultra wide band) frequency range. Ultra-Wide Band operates in the frequency of 6.3 GHz to 7.9GHz. It is a different frequency range than the wireless ethernet (2.4Ghz).
