Cables appear exactly as they are
I bought this so that I could dump/flash the NAND of my Xbox 360. My motherboard didn't have on-board LPT but it did have the header that this cable was made for and it works beautifully. It dumped the NAND at least 6 times in 8 hours - taking half as long as it would have on my friend's on-board LPT machine. Overall, this product has cut my production time in half and at a quarter of the cost of other suppliers! If you need one, get one here.

Works great!
Pros: Worked just fine.
Cons: Pin 26 (KEY) isn't blanked out, allowing for reverse installation.
Other Thoughts: Length should be fine for any uATX motherboard and most ATX ones (Form Factor Width 9.6" +/- 2" vs 11.5" cable length)
For standardized headers, install with the red wire on the OPPOSITE side from the missing pin (26).

Good LPT Cable for ASUS motherboards
ASUS doesn't include the LPT cable with their M3A76-CM motherboard. They sell one, but they admit on their website that it might be too short for some of their motherboards. The CablesToGo cable is about 11 1/2 inches long, and it can easily connect between the "Berg" header connector on the front left corner of the motherboard and the rear slot opening on the back of the case. I tested the CablesToGo cable on my new PC with a Canon S450 printer (using a parallel port cable) and it worked great. The red stripe on the cable is Pin 1, so look in the motherboard manual to find pin 1 on the "Berg" header, and plug it in so they match up. It works. Buy it.

Works, but just barely long enough
My new motherboard lacks support for legacy parallel printer ports, but happens to have a 26-pin header, so this fits the bill to add a parallel port. The cable is about 11" long, which worked, but just barely.

Done the trick for me.
The motherboard we were using did not come with a parallel port. This product was a very easy fix with easy installation and it worked great.

Solved my parallel port printer problem
I installed this in a homebuilt computer, which had a header for a parallel port. This worked perfectly to connect my Gigabyte motherboard to my HP last printer. This cable was an optional part for my motherboard, but not readily available. Be sure your motherboard has a parallel port header before purchasing.
