Product Description

RapidRun Optical is our leanest-longest, fastest-strongest RapidRun product yet! Designed to be the standard for in-wall HDMI audio/video installations, it boasts an 18Gbps bandwidth, a diameter of just a half inch and a plenum rated jacket. Using pre-terminated break-away flying leads and wall plates with an in-wall runner provides a flexible, efficient, high quality connection for all types of equipment, with no field terminations. Utilize this Plenum, OFNP-Rated fiber runner cable for in-wall installations that require the cable to be run through an air handling space or air plenum. This RapidRun solution supports up to a 4k resolution, while providing enough bandwidth to serve the audio/video needs of commercial applications from classrooms to lecture halls and auditoriums to boardrooms for years to come.
Note: Some HDMI source devices are unable to output the power required to send A/V signals over the Optical runner cable which results in no image being displayed. In those instances, an HDMI Voltage Inserter (42223 or 42236) may be required. Each complete RapidRun Optical solution requires a break-away flying lead or wall plate to terminate each end of the runner cable. Each runner requires (2) break-away flying leads OR (1) wall plate and (1) break-away flying lead. RapidRun Optical Runners require the flying leads and/or wall plates in order to function properly. The Runner cables cannot be used to connect directly to source/display devices. RapidRun Optical Runners are directional cables that require the TX to be installed at the source side and the RX to be installed at the display side. RapidRun Optical Fiber Pulling Eye sold separately. (60155)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Upgraded an existing RR Multi Cable set up to add HDMI. Had to replace the WireMold wall box to capture the 2 gang plate but it worked perfectly. My existing run is an old "yellow" cable with an "orange" adapter on it at the user end so I should have gotten an extra deep WireMold. Made it work by adding a second box above the first to enclose the extra long connection. Added 50' of RR Fiber Optic with a powered receiver at the projector. Even with another 50' of cable between a laptop and the wall connection it works flawlessly! RW...

When pulling eye harness is installed and electrical tape is places over harness will this assembly still fit thru a 3/4" conduit? If the connector is 13mm (.512 inch), what might you expect the temp diameter to be wth electrical lectrical tape? The middle photo of the pulling eye shows a rather fat bundle once taped up? If this pulling out eye bundle diameter for the optical is too large for 3/4" diameter conduit with a 90deg sweep than will the digital cable with pulling caps work for HDMI A/V Reciever to Smart TV connectivity? Hopefully Optical will work, but need response before spending $500.00+, Respectfully submitted, San Diego
