Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it I make nearly 100 ethernet cables a month in our datacenter ... we ran out of ends and ordered these since they were readily available from a store that we can easily purchase things through. When they arrived, I was immediately surprised by that the fact that they are 3 pieces (not represented on the vendors website - even though it is here) two of which are insanely TINY ... so you can't just throw a handful in your pocket to go terminate on the go: plus I had to come to the manufacturer website to figure out exactly how they intended the "H" divider thing to be installed. These take too long to assemble, and provide no benefit over cat6 staggered terminal, single piece connectors, performance or otherwise. I still have 90 of these things left, and I'm trying to stall any more cable crimps until the PO I processed, 2 hours after these arrived, for the 'Normal' type connectors is fulfilled; these aren't worth the aggravation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality connectors - good value Easy to use once you figure out the technique; I find these easier to use than lining up the wire pairs for CAT5e connectors everyone is used to. Great value and recommended; no problems/defects so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the time I bought these to terminate Cat 6. Needless to say it came in three separate pieces. Such a pain to terminate one cable. Not worth the time or effort. It needs to be advertised that this is not a regular plug.

Do these connectors require crimping, like most connectors? I can't really tell because they are so clear

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes. They would require a crimping tool to terminate the connectors.

Will these RJ45 CAT6 modular plugs work with CAT6 shielded 23AWG cable?

Asked by: Anonymous
No. These are unshielded connectors and will only work with 24AWG wire. Unfortunately we do not have a Cat6 shielded connectors.
