It Twists but doesn't bend
I was going to use this connector on the back of my LCD TV, but it didn't pivot enough and was damaged when I installed it. I could work for a cable strain relief or where your cable needs to rotate, just not for a tight right angle bend.

Does exactly what I need it to
This product works well since my end users are not very mindful of the HDMI cable that is plugged into the laptop and I've already had to replace one worn-out cable. This little gadget eases the strain on the cable and the port and saves both from wear. The device is described as capable of 360 degree rotation but this is not entirely accurate. It does have a stop point and depending on the orientation of the HDMI port this limitation may prove problematic for some users.

Does it open up to at lest 7 feet?
This is just an adapter and does not extend. It is meant to allow for HDMI connections in tight spaces. To get at least 7 feet, please use with a HDMI extension cable.
