Why connect and reconnect cables to manually switch between devices? Get rid of the cable hassle, and add flexibility to your home theater system with the 3-Play selector. Plug in this switch and quickly add three TOSLINK, three s-video, and three RCA composite audio/video ports to your system. Great for connecting three of the following: DVD players, satellite receivers, video game consoles or digital video recorders - any devices that have dual channel analog or TOSLINK audio with s-video or composite video.

This is an ideal solution for the a/v enthusiast who wants to take full control of an ever-expanding system. Use the wireless remote control or the three front panel input selector buttons to quickly change sources.

Please Note: This unit does not convert s-video to composite video, or composite video to s-video; the output signal is always the same as the original input signal. Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Works as Advertised, But . . . . This product does what it is intended to do, but the response to the remote control is flaky. Sometimes it responds properly; sometimes it does not respond without multiple button presses. The manual switches work just fine, but a remote should work if not every time then most of the time. Not sure whether this is a characteristic performance or an anomoly with this particular unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Better Than Advertised Audio selector took less than 5 minutes to install. I now have 3 digital audio inputs going to my Bose Lifestyle 28 System and the entire setup works flawlessly. I simply use the provided remote to switch between inputs and I can switch between my cable box, PS3 and Xbox 360. 5 stars for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I purchased this unit to split video for a monitoring station. I thought it had an output for coaxil, but it did not. Once I got it hooked up via some spare component cables I had in storage, the unit works beautifully. Love the remote for less wear and tear on the unit itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Solved my problem of having two devices with Toslink Digital Optical outputs( HD Cable Box & Bluray Disc Player) and a 5.1 Ch Surround Receiver with only one Toslink input...now I can switch (remotely) from TV to Bluray and enjoy the 5.1 Ch audio. It works great!

Can I connect an audio source via the RCA input and have it come out via the Optical Audio output into my sound system?

Asked by: Anonymous
This switch is not a converter. It will only send the analog RCA audio input to the RCA analog output. The same goes for the video signal and optical. If an optical signal is sent to the switch, it is output only through the optical output.

I want to hook up a DVD player, VCR, Stereo receiver, to my TV that is connected to a dish satellite. Is this possible? If not what product do I need?

Asked by: JP
If all of the source devices have a composite video output and the TV has a composite video and audio input, this would work for you. It will allow you to switch between the 3 source devices to the one input on the TV.
