      If you are using Vista, 7 or 8, please see the document attached on manually adding the printer to the computer. You must know the IP address of the print server in order to manually create this.

      For Windows XP/7 manual installation, follow the steps below:

      1. Click Start, and select Devices and Printers.
      2. Click Add a Printer.
      3. The Add Printer Wizard screen will appear, Select Add a Local Printer.
      4. From the Choose a printer port, select Create a new port option and select the Standard TCP/IP Port from the drop down menu, Click Next.
      5. Enter the IP address of the print server into the Hostname or IP address field, Click Next.
      6. In the Additional port information required screen, Select Custom and Click the Settings button
      7. In the Configure Standard TCP/IP Port Monitor box, select LPR form Protocol, type in a queue name, lp1, lp2 or lp3. (ie. Parallel port = lp1, 1st USB port = lp2, 2nd USB port = lp3).
      8. Click OK, and Next. Note: Please DO NOT type any other name than lp1, lp2 or lp3 in this step.
      9. Click Finish.
      10. Select the appropriate printer manufacturer and printer type list and click Next.
      11. Type in a new Printer name or leave it in default, and click Next button.
      12. A message reading, " To confirm that the printer is installed properly, you can print a test page" . Select Yes (Recommended) and click Finish.

      To update the firmware, please see the steps below.

      1. Unzip the attached file.
      2. Put the unzipped files into the root directory of a USB flash drive.
      3. Plug in the flash drive to the USB port on the Media Gateway.
      4. Reset the power to the Media Gateway by unplugging and then re-plugging the power cord.
      5. After you plug the power back into the Media Gateway, you should see the green light continually flash.
      6. Once it has flashed at least 3 times, remove the flash drive.
      7. After that the Media Gateway firmware would be updated.

      Please note: If your computer is using an Intel Graphics video, make sure your video driver is up to date. There have been problems when using the VGA input if the Intel driver version is 8.15.10.2418 or older. Please update the driver to at least version 8.15.10.2509.

      4. Reset the power to the Media Gateway by unplugging and then re-plugging the power cord.
      5. After you plug the power back into the Media Gateway, you should see the green light continually flash.
      6. Once it has flashed at least 3 times, remove the flash drive.
      7. After that the Media Gateway firmware would be updated.

      Please note: If your computer is using an Intel Graphics video, make sure your video driver is up to date. There have been problems when using the VGA input if the Intel driver version is 8.15.10.2418 or older. Please update the driver to at least version 8.15.10.2509.

      To update the firmware, please see the steps below.

      1. Unzip the attached file.
      2. Put the unzipped files into the root directory of a USB flash drive.
      3. Plug in the flash drive to the USB port on the Media Gateway.
