Overview
A component video balun provides an economical alternative to coaxial cable used in audio/video installations. This balun maintains 75 Ohm impedance to the audio/video device while providing 100 Ohm impedance to the cabling infrastructure. This balancing of the impedances allows the audio/video signal to travel with little or no signal degradation up to 300 feet over UTP network cable with little or no visible degradation.
Save time by sharing existing UTP network cable for audio/video applications. This balun has four RCA female connectors for component video with S/PDIF digital audio. The female RJ45 jack provides a quick method to connect the balun to existing UTP cable. Our design features a wide-band transformer which permits all 4 channels to alternatively be used for composite video applications. The chassis is constructed from heavy-gauge steel to withstand abuse and provide shielding from unwanted interference. Compatible with 1080i; compatible with composite video or CCTV applications.

Comments about Component Video + S/PDIF Audio to RJ45 Female Balun:
I was very impressed with this product. It was easy to hook up and split video from my main receiver through the house network to other rooms. I also had to buy a digital to analog audio converter since my TV didn't have Digital coaxial inputs but was well worth it. I'm not a huge home theater guy but I felt video quality was great!
