Product Features

• Extend video up to 1500 feet over standard network patch cables
• Converts between 75Ω and 100Ω cabling
• Supports CCTV video signals

(1) BNC Male

(1) RJ-45 Female

Product Description

This video balun provides an economical alternative to coaxial cable for video installations. It provides the necessary 75 Ohm impedance to a video device while providing 100 Ohm impedance to the cabling infrastructure. This balancing of impedances allows the video signal to travel with little to no degradation of signal up to 1500 feet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Save installation time by sharing existing UTP network cable for video applications. The RJ45 female connector provides a quick method of connecting the balun to an existing UTP wall plate with RJ45 termination.

Unfortunately this adapter can not be used this way. It is suppose to be used to extend a BNC signal only

Is it 10BASE-T or 100BASE-T compatible? What's the maximum throughput?

This is a video balun. It sends the video signal over twisted pair. The RJ45 port is not compatible with an ethernet signal.
