• Extend video up to 1500 feet over standard network patch cables
• Converts between 75Ω and 100Ω cabling
• Supports CCTV video signals
(1) BNC Male
(1) RJ-45 Female
This video balun provides an economical alternative to coaxial cable for video installations. It provides the necessary 75 Ohm impedance to a video device while providing 100 Ohm impedance to the cabling infrastructure. This balancing of impedances allows the video signal to travel with little to no degradation of signal up to 1500 feet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Save installation time by sharing existing UTP network cable for video applications. The RJ45 female connector provides a quick method of connecting the balun to an existing UTP wall plate with RJ45 termination.

Diagram above shows how one input such as a Security Camera can connect to a "transmitting" video balun which connects to a "receiving" video balun which distributes the signal to an output such as a Video Switch, VCR/DVR, or Monitor.

Comments about BNC Male to RJ45 Female Video Balun:
I am using cat5 to run camera 500ft from my dad's living room connection camera to DVR so my dad which is 73, can sit in his recliner and watch under his deer stand without sitting it the cold waiting for a deer. So far works great!!!!

Q:Can I use (2) of these in conjunction with 2 short Ethernet cables to connect a router via BNC cable to another router setup as an access point in another area if a large home. There are BNC cables run to every room. but no Ethernet cables.
A:Unfortunately this adapter can not be used this way. It is suppose to be used to extend a BNC signal only
A:Unfortunately this can not be used as a converter.
Q:Is it 10BASE-T or 100BASE-T compatible? What's the maximum throughput?
A:This is a video balun. It sends the video signal over twisted pair. The RJ45 port is not compatible with an ethernet signal.
Q:will this transfer signal from my outside antenna coaxial cable lmr 400 n to Ethernet cable 200ft to my computer
A:Yes, this will allow you to connect a coaxial cable with a BNC female connector to a 200 ft ethernet cable.
