Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me I used this product to use a SlingBox ProHD as a second "monitor" on my HTPC. Prior to using this device, the HDCP would generate an error in Windows Media Center as it believed that I was splitting the content into 2 (which, technically I was).

Questions & Answers

I have 2 different dislays: a 22" and a 75". Which display will be recognized by the computer?

Asked by: lhendersin
Usually the first display with a connection to port one will respond first.

with an input of DVI 1920x1080, will it allow one output of DVI 1920x1080 and the other output (with DVI-VGA adaptor) of VGA 1066x768 ?

Asked by: jack
This splitter will only repeat what signal it is being provided. This splitter WILL ONLY work with DVI-D and WILL NOT work with a analog signal such as VGA.

Does both outputs work at the same time or does it work like an a b switch

Asked by: fabian
Product 40312 will split the signal and allow both outputs to display an image at the same time.

The specs seem to imply by omission that the resolution WSXGA+ (1680×1050) is not supported. Is this the case?

Asked by: Fred
No this resolution is not supported.

So, this product can split the signal and extend the signal, where two monitors act as one wide screen monitor?

Asked by: Max
No. It will simply split a single DVI signal to 2 monitors showing the same image. It has a built in repeater to go up to 10m from the splitter to each monitor. It will not allow extended desktop.

Is this possible to have a 2 inputs and 1 output configuration or is it only limited to 1 input and 2 outputs?

Asked by: Hieu
Unfortunately this will only operate as single input and multiple outputs.
