Comments about Trulink® Component Video to HDMI® Adapter Converter:
We use this to convert component video from an Extron IN 1508 scaler to HDMI for a Christy CP2230 DCP projector and it works well at 1080p on a 90 foot wide drive-in screen. We have had cable runs in excess of 100 feet on the component side with no ill effects as long as we power everything from the projector aux 120 v other-wise we do have to be careful of grounding loops that produce hum bars in the picture.

Q:Is this device also an upscaler?? Similar in concept to the CVBS upscalers for Yel\Red\Wht composite signals to HDMI.
A:This device will not upscale the image.
Q:Can I plug just the yellow rca into the green input and will it convert out to hdmi, or would it all have to be composite input red, blue, and green
A:Unfortunately this will only work with a Component Signal.
Q:Is the unit directional? I want to use the RCA component as the output and the HDMI as the input is that ok?
A:This item is directional, component from your source to our device and then HDMI out of our device to the display.
Q:CAN THIS BE USED IN REVERSE MEANING HDMI INPUT TO COMPONENT OUTPUT?
A:This device is directional and can not be used to convert the HDMI signal to Component. It is designed to only convert component video to HDMI.
Q:Some of these devices will accept a 1080p input, but will only output a lower resolution output on the HDMI. If I feed this device a 1080p component input, will it output 1080p on the HDMI port? While the specs list 1080p, they do not mention input resolution -vs- output resolution.
A:This will output 1080p resolution if you input a 1080p resolution.
A:Defiantly yes ! We use it to convert 1080p component to 1080p HDMI for our DCP projector .
