Overview
Our video/audio matrix switch is ideal for distributing audio and video in classrooms, at exhibits, tradeshows, demonstrations, and for multimedia presentations. This matrix switch enables the broadcast of multiple computers' audio and video outputs to multiple displays. Any input can be broadcast to any or all of the outputs; simultaneously display an image from any connected source to any connected monitor.
For example, if you connect four computers and four monitors, you can show the same or a separate image on each monitor. The 3.5mm audio outputs can drive either speakers or earphones.
Built-in video signal enhancement lets you place monitors up to 164 feet away while maintaining your video quality. Switch between computers via push buttons or use the included infrared remote control for PC selection up to 6 feet away. From use in test bench facilities, data centers and help desks to video broadcasting, the TruLink video/audio matrix switch delivers both performance and value.

Comments about TruLink® 4x4 UXGA Video Matrix Switch with 3.5mm Audio:
We wanted an inexpensive video switcher to allow us to send multiple sources to multiple locations in our bldg. Great for that except for the unnecessary beeper that would be a huge distraction in a live setting. So...a little J-B Kwik stuffed down the throat of the beeper mutes it quite nicely.

Comments about TruLink® 4x4 UXGA Video Matrix Switch with 3.5mm Audio:
We needed a matrix switch so several computers as well as security cameras could be selectively displayed to some large LCD screens. Our own problem, which doesn't appear to be directly related to the switch, is some ghosting on the image from a computer using a splitter. We have a DVI-to-VGA Y-splitter at that computer so the workstation can keep two displays and the signal for one display is sent to the matrix switch. Because of the switch the computer video card cannot identify the type of display resulting in a mild ghosting effect.

- TruLink® 4x4 UXGA Video Matrix Switch with 3.5mm Audio
Q:
On the TruLink 4x4 UXGA Video Matrix Switch, do the VGA output #9 pins provide 5V DC? My projector requires 5V DC at the #9 pin of the Matrix Switch VGA output connectors so that the driving computer (on the VGA input side of the Matrix Switch) can recognize the projector and offer useable display resolutions. If the TruLink does not provide 5V to pin 9 of the VGA outputs, how can I get 5V to the projector cable's pin 9? Thanks! DaveAsked on 10/17/2012 by Dave from Lexington Park, MD1 answer

A:
This does not pass the 5V DC from the Matrix switch. Pin 9 does not send any EDID information, it would strictly be for power. What is the reason that you need pin 9 5V signal?Answered on 10/23/2012 by Steve from C2G
