Overview
Our video/audio matrix switch is ideal for distributing audio and video in classrooms, at exhibits, tradeshows, demonstrations, and for multimedia presentations. This matrix switch enables the broadcast of multiple computers' audio and video outputs to multiple displays. Any input can be broadcast to any or all of the outputs; simultaneously display an image from one source to one monitor and an image from the second source to the second monitor.
The 3.5mm audio outputs can drive either speakers or earphones. Built-in video signal enhancement lets you place monitors up to 164 feet away while maintaining your video quality. Switch between computers via push buttons or use the included infrared remote control for PC selection up to 6 feet away. From use in test bench facilities, data centers and help desks to video broadcasting, the TruLink video/audio matrix switch delivers both performance and value.

I needed a device that could split ONE monitor to TWO different sources at two DIFFERENT resolutions; one going to a TV downscaler at 480i, the other at VGA (800 x 600) which then needed to be SPLIT (I used a different box for that) and sent to two different projectors.
Anyway, I'm not sure how, but the thing works flawlessly and sends the single signal out to both sources at the proper resolution without ever needing to be switched.

I purchased this item to be used in a conference hall which has two podiums and large projector screens. The plan was to have a local PC monitor at the AV table and be able to preview the output of the "other" podium PC before sending it to the projectors viewable by the audience.
The color on the local monitor (#2 output) is bad, missing one of the component colors. Luckily, the color on the projectors is fine, so the users never knew of the problem. Since the projector color is good, and we've swapped out local monitors, narrowed down to the matrix switcher. Not enough time to send it back and get a new one before the customer needed it, but the cost and overall function was outstanding, even it it ends up being a one-time-use device. I'll try RMA after the conference is over at the end of the week. The output on the projectors is great, though, so overall looks like a good product once I get rid of the lemon I happened to get. I would like to see a way to disable the annoying beep every time it is switched...especially in this venue.

This product is great and does what it says. The only downfall is the fact that it has an audible beep when you make a change. This is unfortunate if you're making changes during a presentation or in any type of performance/venue environment where an audible beep would be unacceptable.

This switch will only work with video. It will not allow you to share a keyboard and mouse between 2 different computers. It will allow to connect both laptop and desktop to the switch so that you could display the laptop on monitor 1 and desktop on monitor 2 or both monitors displaying the same source.Answered on 11/13/2012 by Steve from C2G
