Product Description

The TruLink® 4-Port VGA/USB 2.0 KVM with Audio offers a quick and easy way to eliminate clutter from your desktop. This switch allows you to control four computers with just one keyboard, mouse, VGA monitor, and speaker set. Connect the switch to your computers via USB and VGA using the included cables. The added audio feature lets you enjoy the audio from each of the connected computers as well. You can even listen to audio from one computer while you work on files from another!

The two downstream USB 2.0 ports can be used to share USB peripherals. Two types of switching (push button and hot keys) enable you to operate the switch in the most effective way for your application.

Note: The USB port labeled as a keyboard port is designed for use with a standard keyboard which does not feature special functions, such as volume controls, media buttons etc. Using a keyboard which features special functions may cause errors in the functionality of the KVM; however, we have tested and verified that the keyboards in this compatibility list will function with the KVM and will not cause functionality errors.

TAA Compliant

Comments about TruLink® 4-Port VGA/USB 2.0 KVM Switch with Audio:

I was planning on using this unit in a large building where there are multiple VGA hookups around the space through wall-mountaed VGA ports. After rigorus testing, we found that in order to use this product, you MUST USE THE SUPPLIED VGA/USB CABLES!!! Not doing so will result in lost signal and incopatibility. We tried all sorts of lengths and with no luck. If you need your computer/laptop more than 1 meter away from this switch, it is too far for these cables and WILL NOT WORK. Iw as dissapointed to learn this the hard way, as this is not stated anywahere in the description or manual, and they do not have a unit more suited to longer cable needs.

This kvm is not displaying on my main monitor at 1920x1080. It only says the resolution is not supported. However when I bypass the kvm it displays fine. Is there a firmware update to resolve this issue?

I want to connect 3 laptops to one keyboard and one mouse, but have one of the laptops using its own dedicated monitor, while sharing a monitor between the other 2 laptops. Can I do that with this product? Basically, can I decide to "not" use the monitor on the setup? Thanks!

Yes, You could connect the VGA and USB for 2 of the computers and only connect the USB on the third in order to share the USB mouse and keyboard.
