Overview
Conquer USB length limitations, and put your USB devices where you want them with our USB superbooster. This pocket-sized device extends the distance of a USB device to a host computer up to 150 feet so you can place your USB camera, printer, web cam, keyboard/mouse extension, or any other USB device exactly where you want it! This booster is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required so it's compatible with any computer that supports USB.
This plug-and-play device consists of a base unit and a remote unit connected together by a standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 network cable (not included). Simply connect your cables to your device; then connect to your computer and USB peripheral and you're up and running. Bus-powered, it requires no external power source. Instead, the superbooster has internal DC power conditioning circuits to maintain the proper voltage to the remote device so no external power is required for either the base or remote units. Compliant with USB Specification 1.1.
Please Note: The power demands of devices such as external drives and USB hubs may require the use of external power for proper operation. Please consult with your device manual or manufacturer for details. During installation, do not connect the transmitter to the PC until all other connections in the system have been made. The other connections in this system would include the Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter and receiver, a USB hub placed at the receiver or any other USB device that would be connected to the receiver. Connecting the transmitter to the computer without first making other connections may result in damage to the Superbooster.
Note: If the USB signal is being extended to support an interactive whiteboard, then we recommend using our product 29338. For more information about this recommendation, read our application bulletin.

I bought three of these extender sets to attach digital whiteboards to the teachers' computers in my childrens' school. The teachers' desks weren't close enough to the boards to connect directly via USB. We had existing conduit through which to run Cat 5E cable, so I installed the cable, crimped the connectors and off we went. The main hangup was that some of my original crimp connectors weren't done well. Once I got that sorted, the USB Superbooster Extenders worked flawlessly. These are still a little pricey at [$]per set, but since they do the job with no loss of signal, and there wasn't anything else I could get that could come close to this price, I am quite satisfied with these.Overall, they are a great product.

Used to connect a web cam mounted on the top of a wall mounted 60" LCD monitor used for video conferencing. The web cam is connected to the Conf Room computer, accross the conference room, via a CAT5 cable in wall. The video quality was poor due to the slow speed of this device, USB version 1.1. A similar USB via CAT5 extender (USB 2.0) was swapped with this one and the video quality improved dramatically.

Comments about USB 1.1 Superbooster Extender with 150ft Cat5E Cable:
I use this product in a teaching setting to allow me to interface with the engine and bring the data into the classroom.
Everything works great, I only need 75 feet of cable so the cable is too long and is a lot to handle. Otherwise a great product.

We tried another brand (slightly lowered price), but it did not perform. After searching for solutions we noticed that most products ONLY recommend this USB extender for use with their product. So we ordered it - BANG! Worked perfectly right away. Since then we have not wasted our time with any other brands. This one is flawless. Thanks!
