The female connector plugs directly into the device while the male connector plugs into a standard outlet.

I needed a shorter power cable from my Tripp-Lite on-rack power strip to my two TP-Link TL-480T+ routers. The shortened power cable provided does the job perfectly and I don't need to dress long power cords or use adapters that could get loose.

Ordered one-foot power cord to replace the ten-foot cord that came with my ceiling mounted projector. Since I put a power socket in the ceiling about 9 inches from the back of the projector it is perfect for a clean professional looking install. Now I need to find somebody that makes a good looking NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15P cord to go from the back of the power supply to the socket in the component closet that supplies power to the projector socket in the ceiling. Been looking for that for about six months without success. I kludged one together myself, and it works, and it is in the component closet where no one but me will see it, but just doesn't have the clean professional finish that Cables to Go provides.
