I have 2 of these. Rather than buy new external hard drives that have beyond more than enough capacity for what I'm doing (backing up DVR recordings and digital photographs and documents) I purchased one for my DVR and one for my home PC. I have several older hard drives that I simply popped into these and away they went with only the need to reformat them.

I purchased two of these. The deal was too good to pass up. I installed hard drives from retired computers to use for system back up. This also means I can now scrap the old computers as they no longer contain hard drives with data.
Installation of the drive in the case was effortless. Once I formatted the installed drive I was good to go.

I wanted to access data from several old internal 3.5in hard drives and one old external 3.5in hard drive (we lost the connectors & power supply for the external drive). I was able to open up USB 2.0 enclosure case and connect any of the old drives and plug in to my computer with the USB cable supplied. Works fine. Good way to make use of old 3.5in hard drives or retrive data from old 3.5in hard drives. Excellent product!
