The new SATA to eSATA Dual Port Adapter from Cables To Go adds external eSATA ports to any Serial ATA controller. This external eSATA slot plate adapter allows you to take the high speed of SATA outside your computer case.

Just install the adapter plate into an open I/O slot on your computer. Then connect the cables to the Serial ATA connectors on your motherboard or SATA controller card. This will allow you to connect external SATA drives that use the new eSATA connector.

I have HP Small Form Factor PC's. Really need a low profile (2.5" vs 4" bracket) version. Or include a low profile bracket that I can swap out. HP is doing this on a number of their cards

Now I have wires hanging out the back of my pc. If I get motivated I may make a bracket, but really should not have to.

eSATA is still a great solution to escape the slow USB options for external storage
