In a two gang plate it was impossible to align with the other side and the color was an off white. Most connectors have a plastic back plate. This one is metal with the mounting holes a little off the standard placement.

I used the DB-9 wall plate for a home theater Bose system. Works great! The plate was a hard to find item. None of the stores in my area carried this item.
