Will be using this for convention display of video content; PC monitors are much cheaper & easier to pack than TVs. It's better video than I expected since I'm guessing that it upsamples to spread the picture over more pixels than the DVD player is putting out.
Good price, decent quality. You'd probably have to spend a lot more to get a better visual.

Comments about Impact Acoustics Impact Acoustics™ TV to PC Converter:
I needed to covert composite video output from my wife's new Clarity Flex low vision magnifier. I purchased a 24" Samsung TOC LCD 1080P tv/monitor and wanted to covert composite video on the Clarity Flex to VGA on the Samsung TV/Monitor. I was really concerned about the quality of video after the conversion but it is excellent. I am very satisfied with this product. Very easy to install, instructions are very easy to follow.

Comments about Impact Acoustics Impact Acoustics™ TV to PC Converter:
Thank you for helping us old-school electronics OG's bring our "still working" vintage gear back to life. I have 3 CRTs which have recently been replaced by LCDs. The LCDs are great because, being light and slim, you can put them anywhere; ...but I don't want to disgard the CRTs either. There has to be something else I can use them for...
Enter the "S-video/TV to VGA/PC converter"!
Pros: That's it, 'nuff said, problem solved - it works.
It supports standard 4:3 screens AND wide-screen LCDs. Plus it gives you a multitude of adjustment options on the box itself to get the image just right. The best part is, if you still need your CRT hooked up to a PC, you could use the converter as a switch box - viewing output from TV source and PC via the push of a button.
Cons: Not many...but to be fair:
- Not sure if it's my monitor or not, but there is a vertical bar of overlaping color on the right side ...I'll keep playing with it.
- because of the converted video signal, the picture is fuzzier than you would have on a "real" TV (the bigger the screen...), but hey, please don't raise the price if a fix is found for the next release (hint, hint: include a "resizing" feature)
Conclusion: If you want a device that allows you to squeeze a little more value out of that almost forgotten CRT in the closet, look no further, this box will give you what you need without buying anything more than a spare video cable to make the necessary connection from your cable/satellite/DTV converter boxes.
...'nuff said.
