Brand: Cables To Go

Outperforms standard quality diplexers! Our high performance diplexer has a lower insertion loss and lower isolation between the satellite and terrestrial frequencies. Combines and separates DBS satellite with off-air and cable television signals. Nickel-plated zinc diecast housing with precision-machined ports reduce interference and signal leakage. 360° insert pins provide maximum signal transfer to maintain a distortion-free signal for digital transmission. Up to 30 psi, weather-sealed ports resist moisture that can degrade picture quality and affect performance.

Comments about Cables To Go High Performance Diplexer:

When I've used these diplexers and splitters, I have found that I am MUCH better off spending the extra $10 to get a high quality product. They all have about the same through loss, but in the higher quality passives, the RFI shielding is much better, as are the return loss values and port isolation values (technical stuff), which just makes for a better picture...and in digital...you don't know you have a bad signal until it....just....stops....working. Perfect, then nothing. Also, remember that digital works at about 1/10th the power level of analog, so the broadcasters (off air and catv) are sending a power level of 1/10th what they used to. In commercial settings, we put in amplifiers as needed. At home, if your signal isn't quite right with a cheap splitter or diplexer, definately try replacing with one of these.

In commercial settings, no reason to even have the cheap diplexers in your tool box. One return trip pays for 10 of these.

In response to the other review, Users have to be careful when diplexing signals from different sources together as sometime these sources are using exactly the same frequencies, and the diplexers are doing exactly what they're designed to do, "overwrite" one signal onto another. DirecTV is a prime example...their new Ka band HD signals exist, now, down in the broadcast frequency range, so they cannot be diplexed. Another example is combining Digital off-air with Digital Cable. Several reasons why that doesn't work right. Dish network, at this moment, is the only suitable use for any diplexer.

Cables To Go Response: Thanks for the great detail!

Works well with off-air signals and Direct TV SD signals. However, it interferes with Direct TV HD signals. Consequently HD signals are completely eliminated.
