This pocket-sized device extends the distance of a USB device to a host computer up to 150 feet so you can place your USB camera, printer, web cam, keyboard/mouse extension, or any other USB device exactly where you want it! This booster is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required so it's compatible with any computer that supports USB.

This plug-and-play device consists of a base unit and a remote unit connected together by a standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 network cable (not included). Simply connect your cables to your device; then connect to your computer and USB peripheral and you're up and running. Bus-powered, it requires no external power source. Instead, the superbooster has internal DC power conditioning circuits to maintain the proper voltage to the remote device so no external power is required for either the base or remote units. Compliant with USB Specification 1.1.

Easily extends the USB limit placing printers, etc. out of harms way. Very reliable. Most issues can be resolved by simply unplugging the device from the host and then plugging it back in.

My office and computer is located in the basement of our home. DSL, Cable or T1 Internet access is not available where we live. I purchased a wireless USB modem as an alternative to dial-up, but the signal strength in my basement is barely marginal. We have good to excellent signal strength in the area but not down in my basement. I used the Superbooster Extender to locate my USB modem on the second floor of our home and now we get good to excellent reception every time we log on.

I live-streamed the graduation of over 750 students using this superbooster and cable. I had 7 cameras. While the superbooster only used USB 1.1 speeds, it maintained a perfect signal for the 4 hours it was used.

The price and practicality is superb.
