Our VGA/USB & PS/2 KVM over Cat5 Extender is a robust solution that extends the distance from your KVM switch to your VGA monitor with PS/2 keyboard/mouse. Place your computers in one location and your console in another, up to 230 feet away. Driving the VGA and PS/2 signals over a Cat5E or Cat6 UTP patch cable lets you utilize your existing UTP cable infrastructure for a cost-effective and reliable installation.

This solution is ideal for industrial applications (such as manufacturing lines, clean rooms, server rooms, training presentations, etc.) where your computers need to be placed in a secure or remote location and you need your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to reach further than the 25 feet length limitation experienced by most KVM switches. No software is required for this plug-and-play solution as it works with your existing VGA/USB KVM switch.

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink™ VGA/USB & PS/2 KVM over Cat5 Extender:

Easy to set up, automatically virtualized keyboard and mouse through single USB connection. I only had to go 33 feet. This hooked directly to computer at trasmitter end (VGA coming from one leg of a Y-cable) and hooked to inputs of a KVM switch at the other. No problems. Convenient solution to hook a PS/2 mouse and keyboard to a computer that only has USB ports. Made it fewer parts that had to be utilized to work into our system.

If using this item with GOV installations we had a problem with it connecting to a Security Dell CAT card USB keyboard. We are going to get a powered USB hub to see if that will help?????

Warning--NOT 100% USB COMPATIBLE.

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink™ VGA/USB & PS/2 KVM over Cat5 Extender:

After talking with support I have discovered that this device is what they call a modified ps/2 signal to usb. What does this mean? Well if you are trying to extend your keyboard, mouse, monitor from another KVM that uses hotkeys, then this WILL NOT WORK. Buyer Beware!!!

Cables To Go Response: We have spoken to this customer, but unfortunatelly there is nothing we can do to help him. Our device is functioning properly, but it is not proper for his application.
