It does not mean the product provides "extended desktop" functionality, or the ability to view different information on each of your monitors. I needed a way to extend my dual monitor system to a 42" flat-panel TV in my office to show my recruiting materials. This splitter box serves its purpose well. I can now show videos, and other media in my office from my computer (with audio). No complaints.
