This switch allows you to control four computers with just one keyboard, mouse, VGA monitor, and speaker set. Connect the switch to your computers via USB and VGA using the included cables. The added audio feature lets you enjoy the audio from each of the connected computers as well. You can even listen to audio from one computer while you work on files from another! The two downstream USB 2.0 ports can be used to share USB peripherals. Two types of switching (push button & hot keys) enable you to operate the switch in the most effective way for your application. Great product. Have several and have used for years.
Does not work with new Dell Desktops with USB 3.0 like the Optiplex 990 mini tower. Very disappointing.

I use this product in multiple server locations that contain multiple servers. They save money because I only need one monitor, mouse , keyboard. Those 3 items would cost considerably more than the switch.
I also use one in my office where I have multiple computers.
Quick, Easy, Simple to use device.

Mac or wireless keyboards dont work :(

This does not work with apple keyboard. They do not tell you that anywhere. If you like using your white and silver mac Keyboard DO NOT buy this. An it will not run a wireless either. They don't tell you this or have it printed anywhere. Caveat Emptor!!!
