Comments about Cables To Go Trulink™ 4-Port VGA/USB 2.0 and PS/2 KVM Switch with Audio and Cables:
At first it was great it was quite easy to hook up the cables. In 10 or 15 minutes I was up and running. Now however, after less than two months it's not working as intended. It won't shift manually or with hot keys. I am forced to unplug all the computer USB cables and the power supply replug the USB cable of the machine I want to use and then the power supply to get it to switch. At this time I can not recommend this product.

Comments about Cables To Go Trulink™ 4-Port VGA/USB 2.0 and PS/2 KVM Switch with Audio and Cables:
I have three towers (XP Pro, Vista Ultimate, 7 Ultimate) and a laptop (XP Pro). All of them were using PS/2 mice and keyboards so I had to load new device drivers to handle what they now thought were USB mice and keyboards.
I'm still using my favorite PS/2 keyboard and mouse but the box presents them to my computers as USB devices. Once the new drivers were loaded, everything worked fine.
The box is sturdily built and the included cables are of good quality. The lights on the front clearly indicate which machines are currently powered on and which one is currently selected. Switching between machines can be easily done using one of the buttons on the front of the box or by pressing three keys on my keyboard.

Comments about Cables To Go Trulink™ 4-Port VGA/USB 2.0 and PS/2 KVM Switch with Audio and Cables:
My installation consists of one Dell Precision 390 Desktop, One Dell Optiplex GX620 Desktop, one old Sony Desktop and one Dell Latitude D820 laptop connected through a port replicator. All computers share one USB Kinesis Freestyle keyboard and one Logitech USB trackball. In general the unit works OK, but one of the following problems crops up at least once a day:- When switching to the Sony desktop sometimes the FN key on the keyboard lights up and neither the keyboard or mouse will work on that desktop anymore. Solution? Reboot the computer.- Auto Scan is always enabled so the USB Hub switch should follow the monitor selection. At least once a day when switching between computers the USB hub selection stops tracking the monitor. This means the keyboard and trackball may be connected to one computer but the monitor is displaying a different computer. Solution? Paperclip reset of the KVM. At least the reset is on the front panel and easy to get to.Maybe the KVM would work better with PS2 keyboard and mouse.I have not used the Audio feature yet so cannot comment on that capability.

I have a personal desktop pc and work laptop with doc. My pc is older and uses PS-2 mouse and kbd. My laptop uses only usb. This allows me to keep my desk clear by using only keybd, mouse, audio system, and monitor for everything!
